December

As the sun goes to the horizon's call
a cold breeze blows, the snowflakes fall
The sun light fades as darkness falls
an ice cold shard shatters the wall

Tears of silver fall from my eyes
I long to see you in the moonless sky
Thought's of you take me up to the sky
Like the eagle and the dove, I fly

The illusion fades from my mind
I cannot find peace of any kind
In my loneliness I have lost all sight
Of things lost to me that I cannot find

With no wind to fill my tattered sail
My ship drifts on with a ghostly wail
Now the sea is freezing, my eyes are pale
I kneel to pray for a midnight gale

Storm

As the clouds gather in the midst of my eyes
The last ray of light fades into the darkening sky
A pale moonlight reflects the tide as it dies
and the waves stop crashing and the sea breathes a sigh

A calm and eerie sense fills the warm air
and my heart feals so empty as if I didn't care
Then a gentle breeze flows through my dark hair
Cooling the sweat from my brows as it travels somewhere

As I sit and wish that I could be like the wind
Someone cries and drops of tear fall on my skin
The crying seems endless and the sound continues to din
A flash of light shears the dark without a whim

Rain

As the rain starts to fall on a cold October day
I look upon the ocean with a long sorrow gaze
tears fill my eyes as I breath a sigh of dismay
looking for shelter on a cold October day

A gust starts to blow and my ship starts to stray
as I stare at my tattered sail, fluttering away
a lightning strikes, reflecting the tears that lay
and follow thunder takes my sanity away

I kneel to pray hoping there's a way
but no one seems to listen to a forgotten man that prays
I close my eyes and the ship buckles against the wave
with a bitter smile, my soul begins to fly away

Take This Pain

I see a man who is standing far away
in his eyes, I see words he cannot say
I wish I could take his pain just for a day
to share the saddness that he bottles away

with his eyes he tells the truth of his pain
his eyes cry out and tears fall like rain
my heart cries out, but my eyes cannot stray
for I must share the pain for a day

I see myself standing far away
in my eyes I see the world that's in pain
I wish someone would take this pain away
but I stand alone, crying in the rain

Fear

In a dark dreamless night
I'm filled with a dread I cannot fight
illusions to my left and to my right
I cannot hide from the coming fright

I start to run to a place in my mind
to a place, it cannot find
I try to run faster for it is just behind
but it has caught me and fear consumes my mind

fear turns to pain and I give a silent cry
my vision blurs as tears well in my eyes
my body shudders and I let out a desperate sigh
I lose all hope and darkness fills my eyes
