XCOM. it stood for Extraterrestrial Combat Unit. It should have been XTP, Extraterrestrial Target Practice. The Xcom 57th defense unit was busy keeping aliens from entering the base. Allen Minsoto rushed down the hallway in line with the rest of his squad.
He had just arrived at the base from basic training. Just as his transport ship was landing it took a blow from the Biggest UFO he'd ever seen. Half the privates onboard died.
When the ship landed he was rushed out to the briefing room by a very loud Lt. In the briefing room he was handed a set of regular armor but saw that it wouldn't fit his large build. HQ issued him a power suit which he had studied about in basic training.
"A Base Producing UFO has landed outside this base. The 57th has been busy for the past three hours keeping the ETs from getting in,"shouted Commander Cantoon."The ETs have use a plasma launcher to create a hole in our base's interior,". Cantoon turned to his side and placed a picture of the base on the wall. Captain Quartz got up from his seat and began instructing the new troopers.
"The second ET team has entered the base from the south hanger. The 57th defense team has been ordered to fall back because of heavy losses,"He pointed at Allen in his Power Suit.
"Me ?"Allen asked.
"Because you have a Power Suit you'll lead the 63rd team to the access pad and seize control of it. Yes your all privates but your an Xcom soldier and that's what you do"
Now running toward the access area Allen slowed down his running pace. His team did the same. Suddenly three ETs jumped out from behind the corner throwing alien grenades."Take cover!"Allen screamed as he dived into an adjoining room. An explosion ripped threw the hallway leaving charbroiled soldiers. The aliens let out a victory cry as if all the men were dead. Dozens of moans and deathcrys filled Allen's mind. He fought it back and jumped back out into the hallway.
One of the surprised aliens panicked and dropped his gun. Allen took the opportunity and shot the alien in the chest with his plasma rifle. The two remaining aliens retaliated and both fired on him. Allen dropped to one knee ducking under the plasma bolts. He tumbled by the aliens feet, withdrew his stunrod, and stunned both the aliens in their stomachs. If that's where their stomach was. Both the aliens fell with out a deathcry, indicating that they were stunned and not dead.
There was a loud bello behind him. Allen turned around just in time to see one of his men, in a panicked frenzy, shoot Allen in his face. The force of the bolt threw Allen on his side. The face plate on his suit was cracked.
With his face looking down toward the access pad Allen say the green glow of eyes in the shadows. He constantly fought back the urge to slip into unconsciousness.
The crazed soldier who had accidently shot him ran toward the shadows and started shooting at them, killing anything that inhabited them. Then his plasma rifle ran out of bolts and the sorry soldier was cut down right there.
Allen knew the rest of the aliens were coming for him now. He tried to get up but he couldn't feel his lower body. All he had left was the self destruct key he had installed in it just in case. Struggling, he said into his mouthpiece"Self Destruct". With that, Allen closed his eyes and let the urge to drift away overpower him. The last he heard was onboard computer saying"30 seconds to detonation."
3000 people died when the suit's nuclear bomb went off. The human public said it was well worth it since they were 10000 aliens in the base. The Xcom HQ didn't' take it so well. When Allen's robotic body had been finished he was given an award for killing so many aliens, but then he was courtmartialed and was discharged from the army.
The memories were all to graphic but he knew what was going to happen. The aliens were gonna retaliate . Sooner or later they'd get there revenge on him. Sooner or later...
