Eucalyptus

My life's one on one, with the leaf I can control it
Stay here for a while, don't fall down the tree from me
The sun is bright and nice, I never want to leave this land
A rage lurks deep inside, sometimes I wonder who I really am
Life is hurt and pain! It was never meant to be easy
Love and Joy won't be staying, they never were invited
War is about sex and power, love is what you call the dead
Watch them love, rape and kill - it never made us excited
I don't need the big stick to win, no one makes the challenge
There will come the day, when my heart beats hot and naked
I'll remember a time gone by, when apes walked tall and united
The beast runs all around, then my serenity turns to hatred
I am not a killer
I understand the passion!
I don't want to rule
Just to keep my freedom!
They never try to hunt us
We've shown them we don't want to die!
They wonder why I want to live
For the eucalyptus
I never asked for their answers, I just want them to let me be
They find safety behind lies and rifles, we just have eucalyptus
They complicate life with movements, saving lands they destroyed
We don't want their science or premonitions, just the eucalyptus
You must want us angry
We're vicious when we want to be
We never wanted war
Just our peace and serenity
Don't try to talk over the silence
It's where all the truths await
We have a culture without you
With the eucalyptus
There will be wars for our race, you will want our eucalyptus
Can you look us in the face, when you demand our eucalyptus
You can fly in the air and space, but cut down trees to be free
Then we'll rise again, and kill you in the name of eucalyptus.
